An application that enables you to organize and store pictures into albums, as well as create events and password protected folders
Phototheca is a compact software application developed specifically for helping users organize their images in different folders.
It boasts a clean and straightforward layout that offers quick access to the files and folders stored in your computer, so you can easily select the photos to be processed.
The program gives you the possibility to create albums with user-defined conditions, build albums and events, which can be previewed chronologically within a calendar, check duplicate items, and assign keywords to your pictures.
One of the best features included in this tool enables you to encrypt your sensitive data into the Safe panel, which is password-protected.
What’s more, you can view the events displayed in the Timeline window, access the last imported or flagged items, perform search operations, generate slideshows, merge albums, and set the cover photo for the current album.
Other notable characteristics worth mentioning are represented by the possibility to rotate the pictures to different angles, flag photos, set the current image as your wallpaper, as well as send items into the Safe pane.
Last but not least, you are allowed to restore the deleted files from the Trash panel, edit photos using an external program, open file location, create events from flagged photos, and perform basic editing operations (cut, copy, paste).
During our testing we have noticed that Phototheca carries out a task quickly, and no errors showed up throughout the entire process. However, it eats up CPU and memory, so the overall performance of the computer may be affected.
All in all, Phototheca offers an intuitive layout and a handy set of parameters for helping you organize your photo collection, and is suitable for all types of users, regardless of their experience level.
