New Acer Iconia W4 Tablet Spotted at Intel Event

A few days ago, the rumor mill had it that Acer was working on a new Windows 8 slate called the Iconia W4-820. It was supposed to represent an improvement from the previous version, the Iconia W3-810, which didn't manage to capture consumers’ attention.

Now a hands-on video posted by Bouweenpc.nl from an unnamed Intel event showcases the tablet in all its glory. So it’s official, we’re going to see an Acer tablet sporting an 8-inch IPS screen, powered by a 1.33GHz Atom Z3740 processor.

Apart from that, Acer will add Intel HD4000 graphics, 2GB of RAM, 32GB internal memory and two cameras.

The slate will ship with Windows 8.1 pre-installed (plus Microsoft Office 2013 Home and Student) and since the operating system is set to be rolled out in October, we might see the new Acer tablet come in the same month. Nothing is official though.
